Amazing Uses for Castile Soap
So you've purchased our Castile liquid soap and you see that it is multi-use. But what are the many different ways that our soap can be used? Keep reading this blog post and we'll give you TEN different magical ways to use it.
For one, let's explain what Castile soap is. Castile soap was originally just an olive oil based soap, but now it is known as a soap that is made ONLY from vegetable fats. Our Castile soap is made from just olive oil and coconut oil. Other popular brands of Castile soap include hemp, avocado, and other vegetable oils.
Castile soap is biodegradable and nontoxic so it is safe enough to be used anywhere in your home. Now let's get to the fun part. Now that you know Castile soap can be used all throughout your home, let's talk uses!
1. Body Wash/Hand Wash
When you're in the shower just wet your body and apply the soap. It creates a great foamy lather. When washing your hands, wet your hands and apply the soap directly to your hands and wash as usual. If you feel as if the soap is too strong for your skin, you can dilute it with water.
To wash your hair with our Castile soap, wet your hair and apply 1/2 TSP directly to your scalp. Lather and rinse as normal and then follow up with a conditioner.
3. Veggie Wash
While vegetables and fruits are good for you, the bacteria on them is not. To ensure that you're getting rid of dirt, pebbles, insects, and so many other gross things, you must wash your fruits and veggies. To wash them with our Castile soap, all you have to do is mix a dash, or approximately 1/4 TSP in a bowl of water. Dunk the produce in the mixture and mix it around to ensure it truly gets clean. Rinse with water and now your fruits and veggies are good to go!
To wash your dishes with our Castile soap, all you have to do is fill your skin with 10 parts warm water and 1 part Castile soap! Soak, wash, and rise your dirty dishes and they will be as sparkling clean as when you first bought them!
5. Dog/Animal Shampoo
To clean your beloved pup, mix one part Castile soap with three parts warm, soapy water.
6. Baby Wash
Castile soap is gentle enough to wash your baby! To do this, mix one part Castile soap with one part distilled water and then wash as usual. Be careful to keep this away from the baby's eyes.
7. Makeup/Hair Brush Wash
Castile soap is perfect to clean your makeup and hair brushes with. Mix a tiny amount of soap with warm water and then dab your brushes into the mixture. Mix around and then rinse under warm water until clean.
8. All-Purpose Cleaner
To create a powerful all purpose cleaner, mix 1/4 cup of Castile soap with water in a quart-sized spray bottle. To maximize the cleansing ability, add a few drops of tea tree, lemon, lavender, eucalyptus, or peppermint. Combine a few of these oils to make your cleaner even better.
9. Floor Cleaner
Mix 1/4 cup of Castile soap in a bucket of warm, soapy water. Mop your floors with this mixture and your floors will be sparkling clean!
10. Shaving Cream
While in the bath or shower, add a few drops of Castile soap to wet hands and lather. You can use this anywhere to shave anywhere!
